Job summary

Pearson is seeking individuals to remotely score Florida teacher licensure assessments. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and a valid teaching certification with five years of relevant experience, or hold a higher education position in the same subject area with five years of teaching in that subject.

Training and weekday schedules apply. Scorers work remotely, must be approved by the Florida Department of Education, and start in fall 2026.

We have immediate openings for candidates to score the subjects below remotely.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and
• A current teaching certification in the subject area you are applying for AND be practicing or have five (5) or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area you are applying for

OR

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and
• Hold or have held a position at a college, university or a community college in the same subject area that they will be scoring and have at least 5 years of teaching experience in the same subject area you will be scoring,

All scorers must be approved to score by the Florida Department of Education.

Both active and recently retired practitioners can be eligible to score provided you are available to work on a weekday from 8:30 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST.

Working Conditions

Training takes place before scoring begins. There may be a brief orientation meeting before the day of scoring occurs.

Scoring sessions take place during the week Monday through Friday. Scoring sessions will occur on one day, every 2 weeks. The scoring day runs from 8:30 AM to approximately 4:30 PM EST, including training. There are no evening or weekend shifts.

This position will start in fall 2026.
