- Execute lab-scale fed-batch bioreactor experiments (e.g., AMBR250, benchtop STRs) to support process development, optimization, characterization, and material generation.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot key laboratory equipment such as Vi-CELL, Nova Flex2, Octet, AMBR250, and bench-scale bioreactors.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve bioreactor performance issues (e.g., pH, DO, feeding, sensor drift, contamination risks).
- Summarize key experimental data and document all experiments in an electronic lab notebook in a timely and compliant manner.
- Adhere to established protocols, maintain strong sterile technique, and ensure experimental reproducibility.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- BA/BS or MS degree in biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific discipline with 2+ years of mammalian cell culture experience in the biotech/biopharma industry
- Direct experience operating benchtop bioreactors (e.g., AMBR250 or similar systems).
- Good understanding of CHO cell culture fundamentals, feeding strategies, and basic metabolic principles (e.g., lactate, ammonia, osmolality control).
