Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist II to provide hands-on histology support for regenerative medicine research.

You will work with scientists and cross-functional partners to plan and execute histology workflows, including human and porcine acellular matrices, and assess tissue responses in non-clinical studies. The role involves independent routine histology procedures, IHC, special stains, and responsibilities across the full life cycle from preconcept activities to product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or Master's with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with routine histology procedures, including tissue trimming, embedding, microtomy, sectioning, staining, and slide preparation.
• Experience operating histology equipment such as tissue processors and automated staining systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute histology workflows for regenerative medicine prototypes.
• Perform tissue trimming, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation.
• Carry out immunohistochemistry, special stains, and other pathology procedures per protocols.
• Prepare, label, and track tissue blocks, slides, and other materials.
• Operate histology equipment and coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate lab records and sample-tracking information.
• Support inventory management, purchasing, and lab organization.
• Collaborate with pathologists, scientists, and external CROs to support studies.
