Job summary

BioIVT in Kansas City, KS, is seeking an Associate Scientist I to perform manufacturing of products, troubleshoot issues, and conduct routine lab duties related to production, quality, and drug metabolism-related biomedical research.

The role involves preparing subcellular fractions, isolating hepatocytes, maintaining cultures, and ensuring adherence to SOPs while supporting lab upkeep and safety protocols. A BS/BA in a biological or chemical science is required with 2 years’ experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a biological/chemical science with 2 years’ experience.
Proficiency with personal computers and common software.
Ability to work in a team laboratory environment.
Knowledge of sterile technique and handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

Prepare subcellular fractions from human and animal tissues per SOPs.
Isolate and plate hepatocytes, maintain cell cultures, and perform cryopreservation.
Manufacture products to meet specs and support SOP/process improvements.
Assist in maintaining lab equipment and supplies and recordkeeping.
