BioIVT in Kansas City, KS, is seeking an Associate Scientist I to perform manufacturing of products, troubleshoot issues, and conduct routine lab duties related to production, quality, and drug metabolism-related biomedical research.

The role involves preparing subcellular fractions, isolating hepatocytes, maintaining cultures, and ensuring adherence to SOPs while supporting lab upkeep and safety protocols. A BS/BA in a biological or chemical science is required with 2 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological/chemical science with 2 years’ experience.
• Proficiency with personal computers and common software.
• Ability to work in a team laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and handling hazardous materials.

Responsabilités

• Prepare subcellular fractions from human and animal tissues per SOPs.
• Isolate and plate hepatocytes, maintain cell cultures, and perform cryopreservation.
• Manufacture products to meet specs and support SOP/process improvements.
• Assist in maintaining lab equipment and supplies and recordkeeping.
