Job summary

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is seeking an Associate Scientist II, Molecular & Cellular Biology to perform testing and report data under cGMP guidance for biologics development, release, and stability studies.

The role involves hands-on lab work including mammalian cell culture, ELISA, qPCR, and binding assays, with a strong emphasis on accurate documentation and compliance. This position is 100% onsite in Kansas City, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or Physical Science field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects.
• Flexibility with daily work schedule and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory testing supporting Large Molecules/Biologics using mammalian cell culture, sterile technique, and in vitro cell-based assays.
• Perform ELISA assays (quantitative and potency) using fluorescence, luminescence, colorimetric, or MSD methods.
• Conduct qPCR and PCR to support molecule characterization.
• Perform kinetic binding assessments (e.g., BLI or SPR).
• Utilize flow cytometry as required and follow SOPs with accuracy.
• Draft simple methods, method forms, and result reports under cGMP guidance.
