Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking an Associate Scientist to support purification process development during pivotal and commercial development phases in Oceanside, CA. You will focus on high throughput purification of upstream/cell culture samples and automate workflows using platforms like Tecan and Hamilton.

The role requires hands-on lab skills, experience with HTP purification methods, and the ability to establish, troubleshoot, and refine automated workflows in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• MS with 2+ years or BS with 4+ years in chemical engineering, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related discipline.
• Experience developing and executing HTP purification assays.
• Experience with automated liquid handling systems such as Tecan and Hamilton.
• Knowledge of chromatography and filtration techniques.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead high throughput purification and automation workflows.
• Operate, optimize, and maintain Hamilton and Tecan platforms.
• Develop, qualify, and refine HTP purification assays and microscale methods.
• Collaborate with upstream teams for timely sample processing and data delivery.
• Prepare protocols and electronic laboratory notebook documentation.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with lab policies.
• Support implementation of new purification technologies and instrumentation.
