Job summary

ProtaGene, GmbH seeks an Associate Scientist / Scientist in Analytical Sciences to perform rigorous characterization of biologics using HPLC/UPLC, IEF, CE, and related techniques. You will design experiments, interpret data, and communicate findings through reports and presentations in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications include a Master’s or Bachelor’s in chemistry/biochemistry with 2–6 years of relevant industry experience, and proficiency with Waters Empower is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related scientific discipline.
• 2–5 years (MSc.) or 4–6 years (BSc.) of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Characterize biologics using analytical techniques (HPLC/UPLC, IEF, CE, spectroscopy, biochemical assays, binding/kinetic assays).
• Independently design and execute studies; analyze data; troubleshoot and report findings.
• Maintain reagents, standards, and controls for analytical testing.
• Keep accurate ELNs, protocols, and documentation per quality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
