Colonial Pipeline Company is seeking an Associate SCADA Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to support and maintain the SCADA environment. You will partner with field technicians, engineers and control center teams to troubleshoot instrumentation, RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, and communications, and help prepare reports and data analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3 years of SCADA experience in pipelines, along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Three years of SCADA experience in the liquid pipeline industry may substitute for a degree.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the SCADA environment through commercial and custom-developed software applications.
  • Analyze and resolve issues involving RTUs, PLCs, HMIs, communications, and SCADA software.
  • Prepare, coordinate, or assist with special reports requested by control center or other departments.
  • Design, write, document, and maintain software applications that supplement SCADA capabilities.
  • Provide after-hours and rotating on-call SCADA support for 24/7 control center operations.
