Job Description

The role of Associate Sales Manager is essential to keeping the brands we work with aligned and moving in the right direction. It is important all teams work cross functionally to ensure the production process from start to finish runs smoothly. This role is a bridge between customer and production follow up. This role will require analytical abilities, creative thinking, historical data keeping, and knowledge of market trends, just to name a few.

Job Tasks

  • Manage daily communication to customers and being a main contact for follow-up; be readily available to meet with customers to work through issues and relaying information to internal teams accordingly until resolution is met.
  • Develop a high touch, interdependent customer relationship
  • Understand customer’s strategy and initiatives
  • Communicate timely and effectively with customer on all relevant topics
  • Tracking customer T&As, POs, Targets, Projections, Booked orders & sales. Costing Sheets, Development Deadlines
  • Strategize with internal Design & Merch to align with customer calendars, development concerns, collection development, etc.
  • Help manage cross functional meetings- help prep related documents, manage calendar invites/ invitees.
  • Develop a deep, inclusive, and interdependent relationship with our global merch teams
  • Communicate effectively and productively with our global teams
  • Align on common internal objectives
  • Manager should be familiar with customer systems to pull need data for sales reporting but agree not to pull POs and TPs
  • Create Seasonal Kick Off strategy document for each season for each customer, to outline financials, on order, strategic initiatives for the season, and collection planning for design.
  • Monthly sales reporting & customer store visits for photos and product review.
  • Staying up-to-date on retail happenings and reporting when anything of significance happens within the marketplace. Market intel reports for internal team and customers as needed.
  • Assist in preparing reports for corporate initiatives, such as sustainability efforts and quarterly earnings.
  • Be available to travel as needed, primarily New York meeting based, but could have travel to Fort Myers, Minneapolis, Hong Kong, etc., based on business needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree & related experience
  • Passion for the retail world and it’s happenings
  • Be a self-starter and have ownership of required tasks
  • An eye for product and trends
  • An understanding of retail analytics and financial metrics
  • Ability to communicate with customers & cross functional partners, clearly and efficiently
  • Willingness to travel domestically and international if needed as well as be available for calls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Canva, & Microsoft Teams.

  • The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. The salary offered or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
