Under the direction of the District Manager with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Agricultural Enforcement Task Force, the Associate Safety Engineer performs professional safety engineering work in construction, electrical, and industrial functions related to Cal/OSHA. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, accident investigations, consultations, and other assignments across the state, following DIR-DOSH policies and procedures.

Work involves both office and field environments, with potential exposure to hazards, weather, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working outdoors in various conditions. Proper safety gear is required, and travel within California may be necessary.
