Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced construction safety professional to support large-scale projects in the Ocean City area. You will perform field audits, collect safety data, and analyze trends to improve health and wellness on site.

You will educate stakeholders on EHS requirements, lead training sessions, and coach craft workers on OSHA/client standards. Strong data presentation and incident investigation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or higher in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience; 7 years if no degree.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and practices.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Willingness to pursue advanced safety certifications (STSC, CHST, CSP).

Responsibilities

• Provide support to large-scale construction projects
• Perform construction safety field audits and field data collection
• Analyze worker health and safety data
• Educate various stakeholder groups on EHS requirements
• Collect data, create timely reports, and communicate trends from field inspections
• Observe work practices onsite and strive to create solutions that optimize employee health and wellness
• Coach craft worker personnel on OSHA/Client requirements
• Deliver technical training and lead meetings with client and trade partner EHS professionals
• Develop training programs and slide decks for construction EHS topics
• Lead incident investigations to drive future improvement

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
• A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience required (7 years minimum, if no degree has been obtained)
• A strong working knowledge of OSHA standards
• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local EHS regulations
