Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an Epic Analyst to ensure software modifications and upgrades meet Epic specifications. You will document system upgrades, provide training, and troubleshoot issues within a 24/7 production environment.

The role requires Epic Certification or ability to certify within 3 months, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure. Familiarity with HL7, APIs, and healthcare workflows is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Participates in multiple cross-functional projects; understands project planning and coordination methodologies using project management skills, tools, and lean methodologies.
  • Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings; reports status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager.
  • Participates in on-call responsibilities in support of a 24/7 production systems environment; acts as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.
  • Collaborates with various departments to streamline documentation workflows and supports the implementation of best practices in clinical documentation.
  • Develops and maintains a robust knowledge of the product initiatives and categories supported, ensuring data integrity and effective communication of findings.

Job Description

Designs and develops test scripts and materials for end‑to‑end workflow testing; performs unit, system, and integration testing per standards, including negative and regression testing; documents outcomes. Develops and maintains system process documentation and outlines process steps using appropriate tools; identifies and implements requested changes to the system. Demonstrates basic functional knowledge of Epic, applicable third‑party solutions, and the Microsoft suite of products. Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and any supporting third‑party applications.

Work Experience
  • 1+ years of clinical, business or technical background [Preferred]
  • EMR application/implementation experience [Preferred]
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non‑technical audience [Required]
