Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Epic Analyst to streamline documentation workflows and support best practices across clinical departments. You will maintain knowledge of Epic product initiatives, ensure data integrity, and configure modules in collaboration with third‑party apps.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of electronic health records. You will participate in testing, upgrades, and cross‑functional projects, with on‑call support as

Qualifications

  • Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes
  • Basic Microsoft suite of products
  • Demonstrated creative problem‑solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with minimal guidance
  • Rapid learner
  • Knowledge of clinical/technical workflow
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Electronic Information Systems (e.g., Electronic Health Record)
  • Strong computer skills including basic troubleshooting, and critical thinking
  • Strong clinical workflow knowledge
  • Working knowledge of how departments relate to one another and process flows in between them
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, QA, and version releases
  • Provides documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases
  • Participates in cross‑functional projects, reporting status updates to management
  • Acts as active member of Clinical Applications Team, developing electronic documentation solutions

Job Description

Collaborates with various departments to streamline documentation workflows and supports the implementation of best practices in clinical documentation. Develops and maintains a robust knowledge of the product initiatives and categories supported, ensuring data integrity and effective communication of findings. Other duties as assigned. Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third‑party applications. Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes. Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution. Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades work according to Epic specifications. Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases. Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination methodologies, tools, and lean methodologies. Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager. Serves as an active member of the Clinical Applications Team, dedicated to developing electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice. Provides on‑call support in a 24/7 production systems environment, acting as the primary support contact for the application’s end‑users.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Preferred]
  • Driver's License (DL) [Required]
