Abbott is seeking an Associate Research Scientist II at the San Diego location in the Cancer Diagnostics Division. You will work on translating research ideas into the product development pipeline for diagnostic assays, with emphasis on NGS assay development and liquid handling instrumentation.

The role involves planning experiments, executing protocols, analyzing data, and presenting results to scientific teams, while upholding GMP/ISO/QSR standards and mentoring junior staff.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in molecular biology and/or biochemical techniques.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Mansioni

• Conduct bench level experiments within a product or technology area.
• Plan and analyze results of bench level experiments with some guidance.
• Operate scientific instrumentation and report issues.
• Prepare data for abstracts/conferences/project meetings/publications.
• Follow research plans and write experimental protocols.
• Maintain lab notebook per GMP/ISO/QSR requirements.
• Present results and findings to supervisor and team.
• Collaborate with team and manage multiple projects.
