Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a laboratory/quality analyst to perform routine analytical tasks within established procedures and to support quality documentation. The role operates on a Monday–Friday 10am–6pm shift, ensuring compliance with QMS and product specifications.

Responsibilities include data verification, interpretation of analytical results, preparation of validation and quality documents, and cross-functional collaboration to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review stock suitability and secondary analytical data per QMS and guidelines.
• Verify ERP, sample-tracking, and data entries; process samples and maintain records.
• Interpret analytical results (titration, spectroscopy, chromatography) and perform stoichiometry and conversions.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis and other quality documents.
• Support investigations, deviations, audits, and data/product issue resolutions.
• Create, review, and update SOPs; train new hires and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Identify and implement quality, process, and safety improvements with management.
• Communicate operational status, risks, and deviations; support audits and site visits.

Your Role

Typically performs routine assignments using existing procedures or even works autonomously within established procedures and practices that require knowledge of concepts and procedures within a job discipline or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process

Shift is 10am-6pm Monday-Friday

• Review stock suitability and secondary analytical data in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS), product specifications, established data libraries, and applicable guidelines.
• Verify ERP, sample-tracking, and metric-system entries; process and route samples and analytical data accurately and maintain complete, compliant records.
• Interpret analytical results, including titration, spectroscopy, and chromatography; perform stoichiometry, unit conversions, and intermediate-level troubleshooting.
• Prepare controlled documents, including Certificates of Analysis, product specifications, investigation records, and other quality documentation.
• Conduct and support out-of-specification investigations, deviations, change requests, audits, and resolution of master-data or product issues.
• Create, review, and update SOPs; complete required training; train new hires and collaborate cross-functionally on procedures and operations.
• Identify, coordinate, and implement department-level quality, process, and safety improvements in partnership with management.
• Communicate operational status, risks, and deviations; support internal teams, customers, site visitors, and audits while prioritizing safe, timely work aligned with department and site objectives.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or Other Life/Physical Science disciplines
• 2+ years laboratory, or quality review experience

Pay Range for this position: $25-$39 per hour.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
