MilliporeSigma is seeking an Associate Quality Control Chemist to perform routine analyses within established procedures and contribute to quality control. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related sciences and at least 2 years of lab or quality review experience.

The shift is 10am-6pm, Monday–Friday, with strong emphasis on documentation and data integrity. The candidate will review data, verify ERP entries, interpret analytical results, and support investigations and audits

Responsabilidades

• Review stock suitability and secondary analytical data in accordance with QMS, product specs, established data libraries, and guidelines.
• Verify ERP, sample-tracking, and metric-system entries; route samples and data accurately with compliant records.
• Interpret analytical results (titration, spectroscopy, chromatography); perform stoichiometry and unit conversions; troubleshoot as needed.
• Prepare controlled documents including Certificates of Analysis and product specs; maintain quality documentation.
• Conduct and support investigations, deviations, change requests, audits, and master-data issues as needed.
• Create, review, and update SOPs; complete training; train new hires and collaborate cross-functionally on procedures.

Associate Quality Control Chemist

Your Role:

Typically performs routine assignments using existing procedures or even works autonomously within established procedures and practices that require knowledge of concepts and procedures within a job discipline or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process

• Review stock suitability and secondary analytical data in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS), product specifications, established data libraries, and applicable guidelines.
• Verify ERP, sample-tracking, and metric-system entries; process and route samples and analytical data accurately and maintain complete, compliant records.
• Interpret analytical results, including titration, spectroscopy, and chromatography; perform stoichiometry, unit conversions, and intermediate-level troubleshooting.
• Prepare controlled documents, including Certificates of Analysis, product specifications, investigation records, and other quality documentation.
• Conduct and support out-of-specification investigations, deviations, change requests, audits, and resolution of master-data or product issues.
• Create, review, and update SOPs; complete required training; train new hires and collaborate cross-functionally on procedures and operations.
• Identify, coordinate, and implement department-level quality, process, and safety improvements in partnership with management.
• Communicate operational status, risks, and deviations; support internal teams, customers, site visitors, and audits while prioritizing safe, timely work aligned with department and site objectives.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or Other Life/Physical Science disciplines
• 2+ years laboratory, or quality review experience

• Knowledge in chemistry, math, and general science
• Some graduate coursework preferred
• Ability to function in a team environment
• Good customer service and communications skills, oral and written
• Basic understanding analytical tools and equipment
• Safe chemical handling practice
• Compute chemical calculations and conversions

• Organization and time management skills
• Database software management skills

Pay Range for this position: $25-$39 per hour.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
