Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee is seeking a quality-focused laboratory professional to review data, ensure compliance, and support analytical operations. You will interpret results from titration, spectroscopy and chromatography, prepare documentation, and help improve quality processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of laboratory or quality review experience.
• Knowledge in chemistry, math and general science desirable.
• Basic understanding of Data Integrity and Good Documentation Practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review stock suitability and secondary analytical data per QMS, product specs, data libraries and guidelines.
• Verify ERP, sample-tracking and metric-system entries; process and route samples and data; maintain compliant records.
• Interpret analytical results (titration, spectroscopy, chromatography); perform stoichiometry and unit conversions; troubleshoot.
• Prepare controlled documents including Certificates of Analysis, product specs and investigation records.
• Conduct investigations of out-of-spec results, deviations, change requests, audits, and master-data/product issues.
• Create, review and update SOPs; complete trainings; train new hires; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Identify and implement quality, process and safety improvements in partnership with management.
• Communicate status, risks and deviations; support internal teams, customers, site visitors and audits.

Your Role

Typically performs routine assignments using existing procedures or even works autonomously within established procedures and practices that require knowledge of concepts and procedures within a job discipline or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process.

• Review stock suitability and secondary analytical data in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS), product specifications, established data libraries, and applicable guidelines.
• Verify ERP, sample-tracking, and metric-system entries; process and route samples and analytical data accurately and maintain complete, compliant records.
• Interpret analytical results, including titration, spectroscopy, and chromatography; perform stoichiometry, unit conversions, and intermediate-level troubleshooting.
• Prepare controlled documents, including Certificates of Analysis, product specifications, investigation records, and other quality documentation.
• Conduct and support out-of-specification investigations, deviations, change requests, audits, and resolution of master-data or product issues.
• Create, review, and update SOPs; complete required training; train new hires and collaborate cross-functionally on procedures and operations.
• Identify, coordinate, and implement department-level quality, process, and safety improvements in partnership with management.
• Communicate operational status, risks, and deviations; support internal teams, customers, site visitors, and audits while prioritizing safe, timely work aligned with department and site objectives.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or Other Life/Physical Science disciplines
• 2+ years laboratory, or quality review experience

Pay Range for this position: $25-$39 per hour. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
