Job Description Summary

Associate Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They are also responsible for building and motivating high-performing teams to maximize the property's performance.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Assist the Regional Property Manager with overall operations of the building.
  • Ensure smooth community operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
  • Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards.
  • Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.
  • Lead by example, instill, maintain, and model the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
  • Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
  • Create a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and follow-up.
  • Manage and maintain the community budget and finances.
  • Work with leasing staff to meet leasing and marketing goals.
Competencies:
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation
  • Office, bookkeeping, and sales skills, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to determine leasing opportunities and set goals for staff performance
  • Supervise daily team operations and ensure policy compliance
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Perform other related duties as required
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED, Technical, or Vocational school required
Experience:
  • 3+ years of Property Management experience
  • 1+ years of Management experience
Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment. Travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required.

Physical Demands:

Travel between floors, climbing stairs, outdoor travel, and remaining stationary for long periods are required. Regular use of hands to operate office machinery, walking, talking, and hearing are also necessary.
