Under the general direction of a Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) II, the Associate Property Auditor Appraiser (APAA) in the Assessment Practices Survey Division (APSD) serves as a member of a survey team that reviews the assessment practices and procedures of County Assessors’ offices for compliance with property tax laws and rules. The incumbent focuses on issues involving the taxation of business and personal property. The incumbent also conducts audits and reviews appraisals as part of an assessment sampling program.
Under the direct supervision of a Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) II, the Assistant Property Auditor Appraiser (AsPAA) in the Assessment Practices Survey Division (APSD) serves as a member of a survey team that reviews the assessment practices and procedures of County Assessors' offices for compliance with California property tax laws and rules. The incumbent focuses on issues involving the taxation of personal property and fixtures of commercial or industrial firms. The incumbent also conducts compliance or financial audits and appraisals to ensure statewide uniformity with statewide provisions.
