Job summary

Leidos Engineering seeks an Associate Project Manager to assist Project Managers, Lead Engineers and Account Managers across transmission line design projects for electric utilities nationwide. Join a PMO within Power Delivery Solutions and support public-owned and investor-owned clients with timely delivery and cost control.

You'll coordinate schedules, track progress, prepare bids and invoicing, and engage with clients and team members while pursuing professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline is required.
• 0+ year of relevant experience in project management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Projects.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on assigned tasks.
• Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks.
• Ability to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers to manage various sized transmission line design projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities.
• Accept responsibility for overall project performance and reporting.
• Ensure project costs, schedule and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans with a focus on change management, to stay within approved limits.
• Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
• Create and maintain resource loaded schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering Leads to track and execute client deliverables.
• Assist with the preparation of bid documents, cost estimates, and responses to Requests for Proposal.
• Complete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable within prescribed time frames.
