Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central liaison among hospital admins, clinical departments, facility management, architects/engineers, contractors, infection control professionals, and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate healthcare construction and renovation projects from planning through closeout.
  • Build and maintain relationships with medical staff, facilities teams, and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate ICRA protocols and interim life safety measures in occupied healthcare facilities.
  • Facilitate design reviews with clinical end-users.
  • Maintain project data, schedules, budgets, milestone dates, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and status updates.
  • Track design approvals, regulatory permits, facility licenses, and certifications.
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, agendas, and executive summaries.
  • Ensure documentation complies with Joint Commission standards, FGI Guidelines, and state healthcare facility licensing requirements.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications for healthcare code, infection control, and operational compliance.
  • Inspect construction quality and progress, including medical gas systems and critical MEP infrastructure.
  • Coordinate utility shutdowns and construction phasing to minimize disruption to clinical operations.
  • Oversee contractor performance and adherence to healthcare safety protocols.
  • Support project budget development, contingency planning, schedule monitoring, cost estimates, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Identify risks and support mitigation strategies related to patient safety, infection control, and operational continuity.
  • Support medical equipment planning, coordination, and commissioning.
  • Escalate blockers, delays, and missing dependencies to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, project coordination, PMO operations, or owner's representation within complex organizational environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and project delivery methods
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, design documentation, and construction administration practices
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis
  • Strong proficiency with AI Tools
  • Hands‑on experience using project management systems such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, or similar platforms
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in fast‑paced, deadline-driven healthcare environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and drive accountability across teams without direct authority
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to healthcare facility project sites
  • Able to work flexible hours to accommodate healthcare facility scheduling constraints
  • Willing to work on‑site at active medical facilities as required by project demands
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; position does not provide visa sponsorship
