Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Federal Healthcare Project Manager in Dallas to lead complex healthcare facility projects under USACE/VA/DHA oversight. You will coordinate planning, contracting, drawings, RFIs and change orders while guiding designers, subcontractors and vendors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

You will also ensure safety compliance and implement 3-phase quality control, estimate and manage both self-performed and subcontracted work, and travel 50%+ to support onsite

Qualifications

  • Experience managing federal or military healthcare projects under USACE, VA, or DHA oversight is preferred.
  • Ability to read, redline drawings and interpret technical documentation.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ and support onsite execution when required.
  • FAR clauses, small business subcontracting plans, and payment workflows (WAWF, IPP) familiarity.
  • Federal contracting experience is required.

Job description

Lead healthcare facility outfitting or construction projects
Oversee project planning, coordination, and execution
Manage contracts, drawings, RFIs, change orders, and scope impacts with the government
Coordinate onsite installations and key project milestones
Lead designers, subcontractors, and vendors in a deadline-driven environment
Oversee or support field safety compliance and QASP/3-phase quality control processes
Estimate and manage self-performed and subcontracted work activities
Perform 50%+ travel to support onsite execution
Follow job-related instructions and perform additional responsibilities requested by the supervisor

Requirements
  • Prior experience managing federal or military healthcare projects under USACE, VA, or DHA oversight is preferred
  • Proven ability to write, negotiate, and manage contracts
  • Ability to read and redline drawings
  • Proficiency with Procore, ProContractor, Audaxware, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ and support onsite execution when required
  • Familiarity with FAR clauses, small business subcontracting plans, and payment application workflows (WAWF, IPP)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
  • Experience with scheduling software (Primavera and/or MS Project)
  • Federal contracting experience is required
  • Experience in and ability to utilize the 3-phase inspection program
  • Broad-based architectural, engineering, and construction principles
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have a B.S. degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, or 10 years of direct experience
  • Minimum 10 years of construction supervisory experience, including at least 3 years as a project manager or superintendent on similar projects
  • EIT is preferred but not a requirement
  • Professional credential: Engineer in Training (EIT) or Associate Constructor (AC) in good standing
  • Effective written and spoken English communication
  • Working knowledge of architectural, mechanical, and heavy civil work
  • High proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and construction-industry software
  • Current OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR safety credentials
  • Current CQC certification issued by USACE is a plus
  • General Contractor's License is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience estimating and managing self-performed and subcontracted work activities
  • US Citizenship is required
