Job summary

K&A Power Group in Harford, Connecticut is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our energy and utility projects. Youll assist the internal PM team, coordinate project tasks, and help deliver on time and within budget while ensuring QA/QC adherence.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business (or an Associate with 4+ years) and strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP). This hybrid role requires clear communication, superb organization, and a can‑do attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business field required; 3 years experience or Associate Degree with 4 years experience.
• Experience in utility construction or project management preferred.
• Strong Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other functions.
• Must communicate clearly, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organizational and customer service-oriented approach.
• Hybrid position; in-office 3x per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM team and coordinate all aspects of distribution projects.
• Coordinate and lead monthly project reporting and data collection.
• Develop project approach and implement execution plan.
• Monitor schedules, scope and costs; support QA/QC guidelines.
• Support risk management, change management, contracts, and resource management.

Role Expectations

Assist the internal Project Management team and manage direct and coordinate all aspects of work related to distribution and related projectsCoordinate and lead monthly project reporting collect and compile dataDevelop project approach and implement project execution planMonitor project schedules manage scope and control project costsSupport financials staffing risk management change management contract management tracking and resource management for all projectsSupport the project team to ensure deliverables are being provided to the clients satisfaction and that projects are following internal and external QAQC guidelinesPromote a culture of can do attitude and say do ratio with project deadline and quality across the team
