Job summary

Applied Systems is hiring an entry level Associate Project Manager to join the Activation Services team in a hybrid capacity (3 days in-office a week – Tuesdays to Thursdays) in Chicago. You''ll assist with customer projects, maintain project administration tasks, and progressively lead your own projects as you learn from an experienced PM.

You will develop skills in project planning, client communication, and documentation, while supporting budgets, workflows, and client success initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, project management, or a related field.
• Strong organization and attention to detail across budgets, documentation, and reporting.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Eager to learn project management, software products, and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning and execution to deliver work on time by gathering requirements and maintaining documentation.
• Track project budgets and expenses and prepare status reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment on progress, changes, and next steps.
• Build strong client relationships while accurately documenting interactions, milestones, and completed work.
• Partner with an experienced Project Manager to learn end-to-end project management practices.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of software products and workflows to better support client outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Location

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position ranges from $60,000–$80,000 USD. Pay is based on experience, skill set, and other criteria. Team members may also be eligible for additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
