Job Description:

The Associate Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various projects within the Lien Resolution - Operations department. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical coding and billing, preferably from a lien resolution vendor. This role involves mentoring new hires, handling escalations, and ensuring the consistency and accuracy of audits and processes.

The position offers a salary of $70k and requires the candidate to work EST hours, though they can be located anywhere.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Handle escalations from two direct reports, which should be infrequent.
  • Understand and document processes to ensure clarity and efficiency.
  • Manage audits for new programs, creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure consistency in how audits are handled across the organization and across programs.
  • Focus will be on internal tasks and coordination with minimal external communication with vendors.

Qualifications

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience:1-2 years of experience in medical coding and billing, preferably from a lien resolution vendor.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of medical coding and billing processes.
    • Excellent documentation and process management skills.
    • Ability to mentor new hires and guide them through their initial training period.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in working with audit processes and maintaining SOPs.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Experience:Experience in managing others, even if not extensive.
  • Preferred Skills:Familiarity with lien resolution processes and vendors.
