Job summary

ABB is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to help create or modify pre-engineered designs for equipment and installations in a hybrid role primarily based in Houston, TX, with relocation to Cary, NC after training. The role requires up to 80% travel and close collaboration with the Automation Energy Industries team in the US.

You will contribute to design solutions, prepare drawings, BOMs, calculations, and engineering instructions, while supporting the engineering manager and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Up to 2 years of experience in design and execution preferred.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an integrated design team to meet project requirements and deliverables.
• Design automation enclosures and establish system cabinet assembly requirements.
• Certify equipment outline drawings, power consumption and cooling requirements for ABB equipment.
• Generate system orders and monitor delivery status.
