Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Dallas 114 operations based in West Texas. The role serves as a launching pad for future leaders, offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating to kickstart a career in an innovative, employee-owned organization.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch list management, QA/QC support, RFIs/submittals, labor control, takeoffs, and scheduling coordination.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry‑level Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Dallas 114 operations based in West Texas.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI's QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI's and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M's
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
• Strong customer service skills and relationship‑building abilities
• Must have critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
