RealREPP is seeking an Associate Project Accountant in El Paso, TX to support the Project Management team with accurate accounting and risk management throughout the project life cycle.

The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, timely invoicing, month-end closures, and maintaining project ledgers, while ensuring adherence to company policies. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance preferred.
• 1–3 years of project accounting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate reporting and timely invoicing for the project.
• Disseminate month-end project reports to management.
• Maintain month-end deadlines and forecast profitability.
• Manage project postings, accruals, and A/R/A/P tasks.
• Identify and resolve basic project-related accounting issues.

Position Summary

The Associate Project Accountant is assigned to a construction project(s) and partners with the Project Management team to assure timely and accurate accounting and risk management throughout the project life cycle.

• Ensures accurate reporting of financial information and timely invoicing pertaining to a particular project. Maintains project-related ledger accounts.
• Disseminates month-end project reports to management and relevant business lines.
• Maintains list of month-end deadlines and ensures profit and cash flow forecasts are prepared on time and accurately.
• Reviews project forecasts on a regular basis and ensures any outstanding matters are dealt with on a timely basis.
• Maintains project register. Prepares month-end posting/allocations and accruals. Controls the accounts payable and receivable tasks for the project.
• Identifies and assists with the resolution of basic project-related accounting issues.
• Ensures policies and procedures for project accounting are adhered to.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance preferred
• 1-3 years’ of project accounting experience preferred
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Good organization skills with high level of attention to detail
