Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley seeks an Associate Program Director to steward a rural family medicine residency, guiding curriculum, didactics and learner assessment. You will collaborate with the Program Director to advance educational missions and supervise faculty in clinical teaching settings.

Qualifications

Board certification by ABFM in appropriate specialty or subspecialty.
Active CA medical license and DEA certification.
Annual CPR certification.
Graduation from an accredited medical school with completion of a Residency program.
Minimum of two years of educational/administrative residency program experience.
Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assume leadership in the absence of the Program Director, ensuring continuity of the residency program.
Design, monitor, and enhance curricula with clear goals.
Provide faculty advisory support and leadership to residents.
Collaborate on resident didactic lectures and hands-on curriculum.
Support resident quality improvement research projects.
Plan resident orientations, retreats, and CME events.
Contribute to recruitment and retention of a diverse resident cohort.
Participate in evaluation and assessment of residents and learners.
Serve on committees related to graduate medical education and program evaluation.
