Jefferson Health is seeking a dynamic, board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join as an Associate Program Director (APD) of our ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program.

The APD will play a vital role in shaping the academic and clinical development of residents, advancing educational innovation, and supporting the Program Director in daily operations and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in designing, implementing, and evaluating the residency curriculum.
• Serve as a core faculty member and mentor to emergency medicine residents.
• Lead educational initiatives, including simulation, didactics, and scholarly activity.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of residents.
• Foster a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion in training.
• Engage in clinical emergency medicine at Jefferson Health hospitals.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Prior academic or teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey.
