The role coordinates design-phase stakeholders, helps develop design solutions, and drives timely decisions to meet program objectives. The position works between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, construction, and project delivery teams, ensuring documentation and actions are tracked and aligned with customer

Qualifications

• Education requirements include high school diploma or GED or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: 8+ years in engineering, preconstruction, manufacturing, construction, project management, or related technical fields.
• Alternative education path: Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Travel: 10-30% willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Supports cross-functional teams from pursuit through design completion and transition to execution.
• Coordinates design-phase stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Develops design solutions from concept through detailed engineering documentation.
• Documents lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement across programs.
• Coordinates design activities across engineering, BIM, manufacturing, and operations.
• Gathers cost information and supports cost-impacts and value engineering opportunities.
• Tracks design progress, changes, open items, action items, and risks.
• Maintains the Program Requirements Documentation as the single source of truth.
• Supports alignment between design intent, manufacturing capabilities, and constructability.
• Assists with design reviews for codes, specs, and customer requirements.
• Prepares transition activities from design into program execution and handoffs.

Education
