The Department of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a tenure-track Associate Professor to lead an independent, externally funded research program advancing skin biology and translational dermatologic science.

The appointee will contribute to research, teaching, mentorship, and service; publish high-impact work; mentor PhD students, residents, and junior faculty; and collaborate across clinical and basic science groups.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated record of independent research with sustained extramural funding.
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in graduate education and mentorship of PhD students, residents, or junior faculty.

Responsabilités

• Develop and sustain an independent, externally funded research program in dermatology or related field.
• Publish high-impact, peer-reviewed scholarly work.
• Collaborate with clinical and basic science faculty to foster interdisciplinary research initiatives.
• Contribute to translation and clinical research efforts within the department.
• Provide teaching and mentorship to graduate, medical, and postdoctoral learners.
• Engage in service through committees and program development.
