Overview

The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (GHN) at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas is recruiting a full‑time Gastroenterologist at the academic rank of Associate Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding clinical expertise including patient care management related to endoscopic and non‑endoscopic procedures, outpatient clinic, and inpatient service.
Promote a teaching environment for residents, fellows, and other trainees.
Contribute to daily operations through innovative research, clinical judgment, active participation in educational endeavors, and independent decision making.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate‑level degree in a field appropriate to the faculty role and department mission.
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board to practice or eligible to practice in Texas.
Board certification in Internal Medicine.
Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology.
Certification in Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Ten years post‑fellowship experience as a clinician in gastroenterology and performing gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, or five years’ experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Compensation

Target base salary: $415,788 to $506,564. Eligible for incentive compensation and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, time off, savings, retirement, and relocation support.
