Job summary

Flex is seeking an Associate Production Supervisor in Milpitas, CA to lead multiple production lines in a highly technical environment and to ensure on-time delivery and product quality.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 3 years of operations experience; you will coach operators, drive improvements, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in addition to 3+ year of operations experience.
• Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Flex functional standards.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures and data.

Responsibilities

• Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and responsible for the line's success.
• Evaluates daily plant operating performance and advises on changes to operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
• Lead a team of professionals to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
• Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution; coach operators.
• Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with engineers to develop proposals.
• Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
• May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
• Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
• Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
• Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment and ensures compliance with policies.
• Ensures compliance to manufacturing standards.
