Job summary

Corning is seeking an Associate Production Manager to support manufacturing operations in Concord or Wilmington, NC. You will lead large-scale projects, drive process improvements, and coach production teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.

This role provides a path toward a future Department Head position, focusing on labor optimization and capacity expansions while coordinating with multiple departments across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience leading large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale projects, process improvements, and plant-wide initiatives.
• Support department operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals.
• Foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to production teams and supervisors.
• Plan labor, equipment, and materials to meet production demand and priorities.
• Drive data-driven problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues.
