Points North is looking for an AssociateProductOwnerto drive handson execution forpartner integrationsforan established B2B software application thatstreamlinescomplex payroll calculations and compliance reporting forcompanies withprevailing wage and unionized workforces.
This is anindividual contributor role where you willbe responsible fordeveloping a keen understanding andexpertiseof our existing systems,building requirements forintegrations, and helping drive our connectivity initiatives.You willberesponsibleforworkingdirectly withour partnersto ensurethatrequirementsareaccurateandcomplete.Youwillwork crossfunctionally with Engineering, QA, Implementation, Support, Managed Services, and domain SMEs, and youwill have direct customer access.As aresult,you will play a critical role in our continued growth, helping our clientsbetter automate their data flow.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own requirements,documentationand outcomes for integrations with our partners, along withday-to-dayproduct decisions forintegration designin alignment with our overall companyobjectives.
- Translate integration needs into clear product workflows, API requirements, data mapping expectations, and operational support considerations.
- Definemeasurableoutcomes and priorities that balance stabilityandretention, customer value, and modernization.
- Write epics, user stories, and detailed acceptance criteria that engineers and QA can build and testagainst withconfidence.
- Participate inourAgileproduct development process.
- Use data and feedback loops (support trends, customer escalations, implementation insights, adoption signals,partner feedback)toimprove the integration experience andretention.
- Coordinate and deliver release communications (what changed, who itimpacts, why it matters, how to use it)related to integrations.
In the first 6-12 months you will have:
- Built strong working knowledgeof our platformand thereal-worldcustomer workflowsit supports.
- The role of integrations in ourclients'lifecycleand as a retention driverisclearly understood and reflected in a focused,outcome-basedroadmap.
- Integrations are being builtfroma solidifiedplanwith testing and userexperience across multipleclients incorporated prior to official release.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven ability to be a strong individual contributor: owning outcomes endtoendprocessfrom discoverytodeliverytoresults
- Excellent written communication (clear requirements, decision logs, release notes, stakeholder updates).
- TrackrecordofworkingwithEngineering and QA, with comfort going deep into edge cases, tradeoffs, and technical constraints.
- Familiarity (not necessarilyexpertise) with one or more of:Prevailing wage/unioncompliance (federal/state/local)OR Construction payroll/compliance operations
- You like being close to the work: writing, refining, triaging, talking to customers, and shipping continuously.
- Enjoyworkingcollaborativelyacrosscrossfunctional teams andwithpartners.
- Prefer execution over authority or managing a team.
- Are energized by complexity and can translate it into simple, usable experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field; or equivalent and relevant working experience
- 2+ years professional experience inproduct managementwithB2B SaaSproducts
- 1+ years' experience workingcloselywithpartners onintegrationstoensure mutualsuccess.
- 1+ years' experience inregulateddomains where accuracy and explainability are critical (payroll, tax, HR, compliance, fintech).
- Demonstrated capability and experience defining and delivering APIbased integrations, including understanding:
- Integration patterns (REST APIs, webhooks,file-basedinterchange where applicable)
- Data mapping/validation, error handling, reconciliation, and operational support needs
- Enterprise integration expectations (security, reliability, versioning, backward compatibility)
- Must be willing to travel toMinneapolis, MN.
- No sponsorship available (mustbe authorized towork in the U.S.).

For this position the base salary range is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility. Final compensation determinations will reflect your unique experience, skills, and the responsibilities of the role.
