Job description

Locations: Hybrid—NYC | Hybrid—Norwalk, CT

As an Associate Product Analytics Manager at FactSet, you will contribute to the creation of impactful product metrics and analysis that guide strategic decisions and enhance our products and user experience. You will act as a key resource for Product Analytics tools and product usage data, providing critical support in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization.

In collaboration with Data Engineering, you will assist in developing FactSet's data catalog, encompassing raw data, aggregated metrics, and dashboards. This support enables product teams and business leaders to assess the health of FactSet’s products and firm types, helping to weave together data insights into cohesive and compelling narratives.

We are looking for a self-driven analyst who prioritizes the "why" over the "what," and is enthusiastic about encouraging Product Managers to integrate data into product roadmaps and strategies. A dedication to knowledge sharing and commitment to the team's collective success are fundamental to the role of an Associate Product Analytics Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to evaluate and analyze the health of their products and offer strategic advice aimed at enhancing the end-user experience based on empirical data.
  • Develop prototypes for new data tables, metrics, and visualizations, validate concepts, and effectively translate requirements for data engineering teams to implement.
  • Empower stakeholders through documentation and training, ensuring they can confidently use new data and metrics. Continuously update resources to maintain relevance and usability.
  • Collect and analyze stakeholder feedback regularly to identify enterprise data and metric gaps and collaborate on strategies for improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6+ years' experience in Analytics, Data Science, or Business Insights at a B2B SaaS company, or relevant experience.
  • Possess a problem-solving product mindset, starting from problems, goals, and needs, and experimenting to uncover the best solutions.
  • Ability to conceptualize and bring together multiple datasets to calculate meaningful analytics.
  • Strong communication skills to present technical information to a non-technical audience and convey an actionable recommendation.
  • Ability to align and influence engineering, product, UX, and other stakeholders.
  • Self-reliant with ability to work in a team, and a collaborative leadership style capable of influence without direct authority.
  • Experience measuring product or feature experimentation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerBI, Pendo or similar data analysis and BI tools.

Preferred Experience:

  • Track record of driving change management across organization.
  • Experience or interest in financial markets or investing.
  • Experience in Project or Program Management.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops or teaching data literacy programs.

The budgeted base salary for this position in the state of Connecticut and in New York City is $85,000-115,000. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

What’s In It For You:

  • The opportunity to join a growing firm with a proven track record of success for over 40 years, made up of thoughtful, innovative minds that value collaboration and welcome your new ideas to the table.
  • Mentorship and growth opportunities from senior employees.
  • Career progression planning and a focus on career development, complete with dedicated time each month for conference attendance, online learning seminars, and networking.
  • A robust social community dedicated to volunteerism, intramural sports, and team-building events.
  • Business resource groups that align with our DE&I strategy, designed to cultivate an inclusive environment for all.
