Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Associate Product Manager to help execute the product strategy under supervision, while often working independently. The role involves lifecycle activities, defining target client segments, evaluating industry trends, launching products, and maintaining materials and metrics.

You will support sales through client pitches and RFP reviews and help maintain inventory and product documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher and relevant proven work experience.
  • ACCA or related qualification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support discovery and innovation by creating client personas and evaluating competitors.
  • Assist in new product planning activities by deriving forecasts, composing product requirements and establishing future metrics.
  • Display a cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
  • Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis.
  • Track customer satisfaction, evaluate metrics and KPIs, gauge channel performance, conduct post product launch audits.
  • Provide sales support through RFP response and review.
  • Monitor capital and expenses and rate card alignment across regions.
  • Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.

Job Title: Associate Product Manager
Job Description Summary:

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for helping execute the strategy of the product umbrella as outlined by the Lead Product Manager, Head of Product Management and Product Executive for the umbrella. Responsible for Product Management Lifecycle activities in partnership with the Senior Product Manager such as helping define the target client segment market and evaluating industry trends and uncovering opportunities, perform launches and post launch assessments/ recommendations. The Associate Product Manager will also be responsible for performing regular maintenance of product materials, maintaining product inventory and key metrics Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis. Provide sales support through client/ prospect pitches and RFP response and review.

Major Duties:
  • Support discovery and innovation by creating client personas and evaluating competitors

  • Display a balanced, cross- functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
  • Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis
  • Track customer satisfaction, evaluate metrics and KPIs, gauge channel performance, conduct post product launch audits
  • Provide sales support through RFP response and review
  • Monitor capital and expenses and rate card alignment across regions
  • Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
Knowledge:
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required. Experienced in constructing/ overseeing logical and conclusive presentations.
  • Understanding or knowledge of 2-3+ NT products or business areas within an umbrella, mastery of 1+ product and an understanding of client needs and how this impacts the product development agenda/roadmap.
  • Good in building key relationships, influencing and negotiating with clients, partners and leaders across multiple disciplines.
  • Organizational skills are required to support the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.
  • Program or project management experience is advantageous; planning, analysis, design and governance.
  • Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment.
Experience:
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is required / preferred.
Salary Range:

Salary Range: $80,800 - 133,400 USD
