Job summary

Brady Corporation is seeking an Associate Product Manager to maximize revenue across a portion of our Label Printing Systems portfolio. You will support cradle-to-grave product initiatives, from ideation and business case development through design, development, launch, growth, maturity, decline and EOL.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of applicable work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong sense of personal and professional accountability.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and prioritization.
  • Ability to interact with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Analytical abilities to quantify opportunities from external market and internal P&L viewpoints, and to position strategically.
  • Up to 20% travel, international and domestic.

Responsibilities

  • New Product Development: support the development and implementation of a long-term new product development roadmap.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: support plans to maximize revenue and profitability for existing products through lifecycle stages.
  • Research: gather and analyze customer insights via VOC, quantitative research, and focus groups to improve business cases.
  • Financials: understand and support management of product category P&L.
  • Competition: gather knowledge about the competitive environment to inform Sales, Marketing and R&D.
  • Commercialization: support and execute go-to-market strategies for new launches via omni-channel channels.
  • Positioning: participate in pricing and positioning strategies to maximize profit.
  • Stakeholders: engage with sales, channel, marketing, operations, R&D, and regional product managers.
  • Success is measured by organic growth, gross margin expansion, and strong pipeline.

What You'll Be Doing


  • New Product Development: Support the development and implementation of a long-term new product development roadmap.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Support the development and implementation of plans to maximize revenue and profitability for existing products from product introduction, growth, maturity, decline, and end of life.

  • Research: Gathers and analyzes customer insights via Voice of the Customer (VOC), quantitative research, and focus groups resulting in better meeting diverse customer needs and developing more accurate business cases.

  • Financials: Understand and support management of product category Profit & Loss (P&L).

  • Competition: Gather knowledge about the competitive environment that drives action to Sales, Marketing and R&D.

  • Commercialization: Support and execute commercialization strategies to maximize success of new product launches using an omni-channel approach using direct sales and distributors.

  • Positioning: Participate in developing product pricing and positioning strategies to maximize profit as needed.

  • Stakeholders: Evangelize your product category through engagements with sales, channel, marketing, operations, R&D, regional product managers, and more.

  • Success is measured by organic growth, increasing gross margins, and a strong pipeline.



What You Will Need To Be Successful


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences. or related technical field
