Job description

Position Summary

Associate Product Manager – Reporting to the Product Manager, Product Management Department, located in Monterey, CA. Status: Full‑Time Employee.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will support Product Manager(s) in defining product release requirements based on market problems, work with Marketing Communications to assist in defining the go‑to‑market strategy by providing key product and market insights, and communicate across the company to support the sales channel and customers.

Contribute to the team responsible for P&L for on‑demand audio and video interpreting for business and direct‑to‑consumer markets, analysing and optimising product profitability and sales success while collaborating with vendors, operations and customer service to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Support On Demand Interpreting products and emerging AI‑powered solutions, translating customer, market and operational needs into clear product requirements.

Evaluate AI products, platforms and capabilities to identify opportunities to improve data analysis, customer experience, operational efficiency and product performance, while applying ethical and responsible AI practices to protect customer trust, privacy, quality and compliance.

Provide customer support throughout the product lifecycle, including marketing, sales, client usage, growth and adoption and operations such as technical support.

Collaborate with vendor partners to create optimal experiences for shared client bases, evaluating vendors’ products and representing solutions that are mutually beneficial.

Discover, validate and prioritise market problems for hand‑off to the product development team, seek new market opportunities, assist in defining and sizing market segments, conduct win/loss analysis, partner with sales teams to sell products and grow revenue profitably.

Act as the market expert, speaking at trade shows, industry events and webinars, supporting final marketing and go‑to‑market plans and training sales, implementation and customer service teams on product enhancements.

Provide product expertise on company initiatives and other projects/tasks, develop in‑depth knowledge of competitive products and contribute competitive analysis.

Qualifications
  • High drive for customer satisfaction and delivering on results.
  • 2+ years of marketing, product development, sales or product management experience.
  • Passionate about building products and customer success.
  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritise and drive decision‑making.
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp.
  • Proficiency analysing product, usage and operational data using analytics tools such as Elastic, Tableau or Excel.
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Microsoft Teams, Salesforce and Slack.
  • Metrics‑driven: strong analytical and synthesis skills, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
  • Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with target buyers and users.
  • Experience working with AI products, platforms or AI‑enabled workflows, with ability to evaluate practical use cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools ethically and responsibly.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross‑functional teams and third parties.
  • Ability to see multiple solutions to problems and identify the optimal one.
  • Must possess excellent business judgment and a practical, common‑sense approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent business experience.
  • Preferred: Subject‑matter expert/industry experience, technical aptitude, experience supporting or managing an AI‑enabled product or platform.
Salary & Benefits

Annual salary range: $60,000 – 70,400 USD (Monterey, CA). Eligible for bonus potential. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision and a 401(k) plan.

Travel & Physical Requirements

Typical Physical Activity: Sitting, standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking and hearing. Travel: up to 10% required.
