Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in San Jose, CA is seeking a Process Engineer to establish and evaluate manufacturing processes with emphasis on soldering, conformal coating, potting and fixture development. You will lead DOE programs, drive continuous improvement, support daily production, and provide training to teams while ensuring quality and adherence to IPC/JEDEC standards.

Qualifications

• PFMEAs, PPAP, Control Plans, process flow diagrams development.
• Quality methodologies including measurement system analysis and statistical tools (SPC, GR&R, CpK).
• Problem-solving methodologies like 8D, fault tree analysis, and 5 Whys.
• IPC-A-610 and JEDEC standards knowledge.
• Manufacturing methods for PCB assemblies, modular assemblies, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide programming support and technical assistance for manufacturing equipment.
• Lead DOEs and create reports and presentations.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on defect reduction and cost savings.
• Support daily manufacturing activities with tooling and manufacturability feedback.
• Monitor process efficiencies and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
• Provide technical leadership and training to production teams.
• Collaborate with quality engineering to manage non-conforming materials.
• Analyze failures based on drawings, diagrams, layouts, and customer specs.
• Build positive relationships with customer staff to meet expectations.
• Interact with production teams to ensure policy compliance.
• Escalate potential issues on the production line as needed.
• Align with the customer Quality Improvement Plan and Quality Metrics.
