  • Develop strategies for preparing and handling viscous resin.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to identify and source equipment for process development.
  • Regularly print and process printed parts with the goal of continuous improvement.
  • Analyze printed parts using basic and advanced metrology techniques, including CT scans.
  • Perform testing of formulations and materials with routine and specialized equipment (e.g., UV/Vis, FTIR, rheology, DMA, DSC, and more).
  • Collaborate with chemists and engineers to address challenges and drive advancements in our technology.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (or a related degree with relevant coursework).
  • Experience with elementary statistics, process control, and experimental design methods, such as design-of-experiments (DOE), as well as software tools like JMP.
  • More than 1 year of experience in a chemical research or process development environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent documentation skills and habits (e.g. laboratory notebook entries, presentations, and reports). Evidence of achievements in the laboratory (e.g. presentations, papers, and/or strong recommendations from supervisors).
Preferred Qualification
  • Ability to independently plan and execute experiments with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in handling fluids of various viscosities, including developing protocols for viscous resin management.
  • Familiarity with fundamental principles of organic chemistry and photopolymerization.
  • Exposure to 3D modeling, CAD, and 3D printing technologies.
Benefits
  • We offer competitive compensation packages in our VC-backed startup.
  • Beautiful setting looking out over a river and seaport; outdoor seating and picnic areas.
  • Highly collaborative work environment.
