Job summary

Ares Secondaries, a leading firm in secondary markets, invites an Associate, Private Equity Secondaries to join the Private Equity team in New York. You will evaluate opportunities, perform due diligence, and support transaction management across buyout and growth investments.

2–4 years of experience in private equity secondaries, investment banking, or related fields is required. The role is on-site with a competitive base salary and a discretionary bonus package, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in private equity secondaries, investment banking, private equity, or principal investing.
• Advanced financial analysis, modelling, and presentation capabilities.
• Proven ability to prepare and present investment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• evaluate investment opportunities through detailed due diligence, industry research, benchmarking, and financial modelling
• conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on buyout, growth and other private equity limited partnership interests and underlying companies
• prepare and present investment recommendations to committees and the broader investment team
• support the investment team in transaction management and monitoring of existing investments
• build industry relationships with fund sponsors, advisors, and conference attendees
