We are currently seeking a talented Associate Principal/Project Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing all aspects of architectural projects from concept to completion, managing teams, collaborating with clients and consultants, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The focus is on delivering exceptional projects, exceeding client expectations, fostering teamwork, supporting staff development, promoting our company culture, and maintaining a positive work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide design expertise and leadership throughout projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and standards. Attend and present at client meetings as needed.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget. Oversee project teams, ensuring timely and within-budget completion. Manage delivery processes from design to construction administration, providing strategic guidance and quality assurance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and owners. Represent the firm at industry events to promote services and success.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to owners. Maintain effective communication and relationships, navigating challenges with the Principal.
  • Mentor staff, promote professional development, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Understand building codes, regulations, standards, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders, architects, designers, consultants, and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Provide regular updates to the Principal and support quality control to ensure excellence.
  • If licensed, maintain licensure and serve as the Architect of Record.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, revenue projections, fee plans, invoicing, client agreements, and consultant negotiations to ensure financial success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed Architect preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and approval processes.
  • Understanding of public education in Texas.
  • Experience in all project management phases, including planning and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, costs, and codes.
  • Awareness of industry trends and future growth areas.
  • Experience in public speaking, client management, and relationship building.
  • Proven ability to develop and leverage a client network.
  • Proficiency in bond program development and cost analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
