Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Colorado seeks a seasoned product leader to shape strategy and drive a portfolio aligned with market needs and business goals.

You will own the product vision, work with sales, service, and marketing to understand client needs, and guide cross‑functional teams through research, prioritization and roadmap decisions to maximize value across the portfolio. The role requires a long track record in product management/ownership, with a focus on data‑driven products and agile delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management/ownership required.
• Experience with data-driven digital products preferred.
• Familiarity with data specs and data mapping between systems.
• Experience with EMR/ERP interoperability or data standards preferred.
• Experience in agile environments preferred.
• Strong project management, organizational and communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional initiatives, engages stakeholders at all levels, and conducts in-depth member and market research to inform decision-making.
• Define the product strategy and vision, aligning with other teams to ensure consistent experience.
• Collaborate with sales and service to understand client business needs.

• Participate in build/buy/partner conversations with business-case input.
• Support the sales team by developing collateral and providing resources.
• Engage in budget conversations with senior leadership.
• Develop portfolio positioning and messaging for target buyers.

• Establish a strong partnership with the competitive intelligence group to translate research findings into actionable product‑specific intelligence.
• Identify gaps in the overall product portfolio and strategically positions the organization to stay ahead of the competition.
• Provide strategic guidance to ensure that product roadmap decisions are driven by market insights, customer needs, and business value.
• Actively participates in build, buy, and partner conversations, providing valuable feedback on decisions and investments for business cases.
• Actively supports the sales team in active opportunities by developing sales collateral and ensuring the team has the necessary resources and tools.
• Engages in budget conversations, leveraging senior‑level insights to inform decision‑making and drive financial efficiency.
• Develop product portfolio positioning and messaging strategies that resonate with target buyer personas.
• Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in business‑related or analytical discipline preferred. MBA, MPH or MHA desired.
• 10 or more years' relevant experience in a product management/product ownership role required.
• Experience developing data digital products desired.
• Experience working with data specifications and data mapping between systems desired.
• Experience with EMR's, ERP's interoperability software or data standards preferred.
• Experience working in an agile development environment preferred.
• Strong project management skills, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.
