Thomas Young Group, an Anaheim-based engineering firm, is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our Forensics Practice. You will collaborate with Southern California offices to deliver damage assessments and jurisdictionally compliant Construction Documents for insurance-funded repairs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis, a Master’s is a plus, and 10+ years in structural systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience with structural systems (steel, concrete, timber, and masonry).
• Proven experience producing Construction Documents for damage repair and Code-compliance reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Southern California Forensics team across multiple offices.
• Conduct damage assessments and develop jurisdictionally compliant Construction Documents.
• Manage insurance-funded repair and reconstruction projects.
• Lead client meetings and build strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Oversee project scope, budget, and profitability.
