Job summary

PrismHR is seeking an Associate Principal Engineer to own the design and technical direction of significant parts of the platform while remaining hands-on. This is a senior individual contributor track with architectural influence, not a management step.

You will own subsystems end to end: design, implementation, test strategy, and production behaviour. You will set engineering standards, mentor engineers, and partner with architecture and product management on direction before decisions are

Qualifications

8–12 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript or .NET stack.
Experience designing REST APIs or microservices.
Strong SQL and data modeling.
Testing discipline across unit, integration, and functional levels.
Ownership of a subsystem in production and its outcomes.
Code review leadership and mentoring of engineers.

Responsibilities

Own design and technical direction of significant parts of the platform, and stay hands-on.
Design, implement, test strategies, and ensure production behavior of subsystems.
Set engineering standards and lead code reviews across the team.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and review their work.
Partner with architecture and product management on direction before decisions are locked.
