Ares Management’s Secondaries team seeks an Associate, Portfolio Analytics to support Real Estate Secondaries in Boston, MA. You will work with real estate investment professionals to monitor portfolios and analyze quarterly valuations.

The role requires 2–3 years in investment analysis or accounting, a BA in accounting or finance, and strong Excel/Word skills. The team is based in Boston with activity across West Hartford, NY and CT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years of experience in investment analysis or accounting.
• Prior experience or demonstrated interest in real estate preferred.
• Strong work ethic, detail oriented and organized.
• Minimum GPA of 3.4.

Responsibilities

Job description

Ares Secondaries team specializes in secondary market transactions of private equity, real estate, credit, and infrastructure investments with AUM of approximately $42 billion as of December 31, 2025. The team is currently hiring an Associate, Portfolio Analytics covering Real Estate Secondaries in Boston, MA to join our dynamic Finance team located across West Hartford, CT; Boston, MA; and New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with real estate investment professionals to assist in portfolio monitoring
• Perform detailed analysis of quarterly investment report valuations, including diversification metrics as well as valuation gains and losses
• Prepare support for quarterly investor reports, as well as performance returns at a portfolio and fund level (TWR, IRR, Multiples, etc.)
• Prepare analysis of valuation changes and drivers across portfolio investments
• Prepare quarterly investor reports with supporting schedules and documentation
• Process investment amendments/consents with investment professionals
• Provide data to Investor Relations as part of investor presentations and fundraising efforts

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Experience Required

• Approximately 2-3 years experience in investment analysis, accounting, or related field
• Prior experience or demonstrated interest in real estate preferred
• Strong record of achievement and self‑motivated
• Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a team
• Strong financial analysis, writing and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong work ethic, detail oriented and strong organization skills
• Minimum GPA of 3.4

Compensation

Base salary: $100,000 - $120,000. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.
