  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Platform research on wealth management technology, industry trends, and enhancements.
  • Document workflows and create user guides and training materials.
  • Support CRM, portfolio reporting, financial planning, workflow and advisor-facing tech.
  • Assist with testing, trackers, and implementation documentation.
  • Provide regular updates and collaborate with Platform and Operations teams.
  • Complete a defined capstone project and present findings to leadership.

Job description

The Wealth Management Platform & Strategy Intern will work alongside senior leaders to support initiatives that enhance the firm's advisor platform, technology ecosystem, operational processes, and client experience. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the business infrastructure that powers a modern wealth management organization. This role is ideal for students interested in financial services, consulting, technology strategy, operations, fintech, or wealth management.

The intern will support projects that improve how advisors use Elevation Point’s technology, data, and operational resources. Working with the Platform team, the intern will gain exposure to the systems and processes that support a modern wealth management firm while contributing to a defined project that can be completed during the 10-week program.

Responsibilities
Platform Research and Analysis
  • Conduct research on wealth management technology, industry trends, and potential platform enhancements.
  • Organize findings and help prepare summaries or presentations for the Platform team.
  • Gather feedback and information from internal stakeholders using defined questions and templates.
  • Assist with analyzing platform usage, support requests, or other operational information to identify common themes.
Process Documentation and Improvement
  • Document current workflows, procedures, and system requirements.
  • Help identify repetitive steps, unclear handoffs, or opportunities to simplify a process.
  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and advisor resource content.
  • Organize platform documentation so information is accurate and easy to find.
Technology and Platform Support
  • Support projects involving CRM, portfolio reporting, financial planning, workflow, and advisor-facing technology.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing by following test scripts, documenting results, and reporting issues.
  • Assist with maintaining project trackers, action items, and implementation documentation.
  • Research practical uses of artificial intelligence and automation within wealth management operations.
Collaboration and Professional Development
  • Participate in meetings with Platform, Operations, and advisor-support teams.
  • Learn how technology decisions affect advisors, employees, and clients.
  • Provide regular project updates and incorporate feedback from team members.
Capstone Project

During the internship, the intern will complete one defined project selected with the Platform team. The project will address a current business need and may involve research, workflow documentation, platform usage analysis, testing, or the development of advisor resources. The intern will present their findings and recommendations to Platform and other relevant leaders at the end of the program.

Examples may include:

  • Designing an advisor workflow improvement
  • Developing a platform adoption dashboard
  • Review and reorganize advisor-facing platform resources
  • Analyze common platform support requests and recommend improvements
  • Complete a competitive review of a specific technology category
  • Research a narrow AI use case and assess its practical application

The project will culminate in a presentation to members of the executive leadership team.
