Job summary

Cerity Partners is offering a paid summer internship with 30-40 hours per week to college students seeking real-world experience in wealth management. The role provides exposure to client presentations, financial planning software, and research using Bloomberg, YCharts, and more.

You’ll work with advisors, shadow Investment Committee meetings, and have opportunities to obtain e-Money Certification. Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Finance/Accounting fields with a 3.2+ GPA, strong MS Office

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Majoring in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or related business degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Active campus involvement or leadership experience; work experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and participate in client presentations.
• Use CRM and financial planning software to support work.
• Possibility to obtain e-Money Certification.
• Assist Advisors with financial documents and performance reports.
• Conduct research on stocks, bonds and securities using Bloomberg, YCharts, and other tools.
• Support portfolio maintenance using back-end software; organize account linkups.
• Attend Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings.
• Assist with portfolio optimization, rebalancing and backtesting.
• Create financial planning spreadsheets and work on team projects.
• Collaborate remotely with the team on projects.

Cerity Partners is searching for talented, bright, and motivated individuals with the highest level of personal integrity to join our Wealth Management team for the summer of 2027.

This is a paid internship program (30-40 hours/week) and a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a professional environment. This role is ideal for someone looking for authentic exposure to the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.

Primary Responsibilities

• Shadow and participate in various types of client presentations
• Utilize CRM and financial planning software systems
• Opportunity to obtain e-Money Certification
• Shadow and assist Financial Advisors with preparation of financial documents and performance reports
• Perform research on stocks, bonds, and other securities, utilizing various investment software including Bloomberg, YCharts, HiddenLevers, Riskalyze, etc.
• Utilize back-end portfolio management software to assist in the organization of account linkups and portfolio maintenance
• Participate and present in Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings
• Learn about and participate in portfolio optimization, rebalancing, and backtesting
• Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities
• Work with a team virtually to create a financial planning project or other projects
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• Majoring in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or related business degree
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience
